Come Home to Family

COME HOME TO FAMILY (CHTF) is operated by Family Unity Way (FUW) a department that oversees encounter
sessions between single professional women and single men, finding it difficult to deal with life. The sessions occur in rigidly protective social counsel for 12 weeks.

The goal is to have women and men talk it out! They talk about relationships and gender expectations to increase understanding of their respective roles. The sessions cover the family, church, and civic responsibilities. Come Home to Family (CHTF) sessions are respectful, time-limited, facilitated, and monitored for positive impacts.

Each CHTF season begins with a detailed orientation (first session) and concludes with a celebration (last session.)

Each client receives referrals to resources specific to their needs. Community partners are committed to giving the clients a hand up to assist them in becoming their best selves.

OVERVIEW

Come Home to Family connects single women and single men in social counsel sessions at  various sites around the city.  The purpose of the program is to have women and men talk out the relationships that are expected of each relative to the other to bridge the gap of understanding of each others roles in terms of family, church, and society.
